This is a one-day, outdoor, family event on Main Street located in Historic Old Town Fairfax City.  We will be highlighting Asian heritage through food, arts & craft, education, and performances.

Cosplay Contest

Join the 2023 AFM Cos-Play show. We are asking people of all ages to dress up as their favorite anime, Comic Book, Movie, TV, Sci-Fi, Disney, etc character.

Just fill out the form and check in with our Stage Management Team to find out when and where we will be showcasing your Cos-Play costume. We will have some audience applause and voting for their favorites and winners will be parading around the festival and highlighted both our auxiliary and main stages for a cos-play fashion show.

In Historic Old Town Fairfax on Main Street (between Chain Bridge Road and East Street and Old Lee Highway).

Transit Information

  • Kiss & Ride/Uber/Lyft Drop Off: Located at 10440 Main St., next to the Vendor Parking area.
  • From the Capital Beltway:
    Take Exit 52A (Route 236, Little River Turnpike West) and travel about six miles into Old Town Fairfax.
  • From I-66 East or West:
    Take Exit 60 (Route 123/Chain Bridge Road). Follow southbound Route 123 through the City of Fairfax to Old Town Fairfax.
  • From I-95 North or South:
    From points north on I-95, take Exit 27 (I-495 West). Once on I-495, take Exit 52A (Route 236, Little River Turnpike West) and travel about six miles into Old Town Fairfax.

    From points south on I-95, take Exit 160B (Route 123 North, Lake Ridge/Occoquan). Follow northbound Route 123 for about 16 miles to the City of Fairfax.
  • From Route 50/Fairfax Boulevard:
    Take Route 123/Chain Bridge Road south. Follow southbound Route 123 to Old Town Fairfax.
  • From the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail Station:

Tickets are used to monitor and manage the number of projected attendees to ensure a safe and fun event for everyone. Raffle prizes will be awarded by OTFBA to guests who register for the event.

Guests who exit the festival area will need to check in to re-enter. Wristbands are provided at check-in, and will be needed upon re-entry.

*Open containers of alcohol purchased at the festival will need to be consumed or disposed of to exit the festival area.*

You have to pay for your own food and drink, as proceeds will be donated to our local AAPI Charity Partner, AA Lead.

Yes, dedicated ADA parking for the event will be allocated for individuals with valid DMV-issued disability parking permits at 10367 Main St. (between East St & Main St). Reference our festival map.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable festival experience for everyone, the following are not permitted at the festival: 

  • Smoking or Vaping
  • Outside alcoholic beverages or food
  • Glass containers
  • Solicitation
  • Illegal drugs, controlled substances
  • Scooters, bicycles, skateboards, hoverboards, or in-line skates
  • Climbing on any staging areas 
  • Defacing property within the festival site (this may result in prosecution)
  • Weapons
  • Pets (exception for service animals)
  • Large bags or containers

Bags, backpacks, coolers, and other hand-carried items are subject to inspection.

Umbrellas may be brought in, but you may be asked to lower them in performance areas to allow all guests access to stage viewing.

Please note that shirts and shoes must be worn while on the festival grounds!
